Childhood Calendar

Oana Hogrefe, a friend and fellow photographer, is a children’s photographer in the Atlanta area who has been practicing photography for the past 20 years. She received her photography degree in 2003, but decided to pursue her dream of being a full-time photographer when she was laid off from her corporate job in 2009.

Oana is the founder of Childhood Calendar, a yearly charity event that she organizes to raise money for a non-profit organization related to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She is also a lead coordinator in Atlanta for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. (To find out more about Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep click here)

This year’s organization that has been chosen as the beneficiary of the Childhood Calendar is Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation. JAJF is an organization that gives parents in the late stages of a cancer the opportunity to get away with their children for a few days without the focus being on their illness. The organization also provides cameras and photo books to document their time together.

Last year Oana Hogrefe raised $5,630.00 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta with her Childhood Calendar, and hopes to be even more successful with the 2012 calendar.

Oana is currently looking for volunteers to help with the distribution of calendars, vendors who can make calendars available for clients, and financial contributions.
